Edging Process
Our Process
First, the trenching and ground preparation is completed, readying the landscape for installation. The trench is cut 2” deep and 10” wide to accomodate the machine and to insure that the front edge of the mower strip is at the same height as the firm sod. |
| The concrete is mixed to proper proportions in a mortar mixer. The mixture of mortar, sand, Portland cement, and a special bonding/reinforcing polypropylene fiber creates a strong, durable concrete product. |
The concrete is wheeled to the site, fed into the machine and extruded into a beautiful continuous concrete landscape border. |
| The operator gives the finishing touches with specially designed trowels. As a precaution against ground movement, control joints are cut half way through the edging, giving flexibility to the curbing. |
